Injector Dynamics Brushless pump

To my right you will see a 2003 mustang saleen mustang. This car has been a working progress since 2005, from which I bought the car from a auto salvage auction.

fast forward to 2019 and it has transformed into a 9 second 1/4 mile beast! Now the car is far from done and far from perfect , the car has a overly IMO loud ass fuel pump (4303 magnfuel). So I have been in search for a better single pump solution , which has lead me a to a walbro EL5M brushless pump. The issue with the EL5M is that it only supports 600 LPH or there about , Where as i need something in the 900LPH range.

This is where Injector Dynamics and Paul Yaw come into play, as of 12-4-2019 Injector Dynamics has a pump controller coupled with that Walbro EL5M pump in testing! As of right now we know of companies testing said setup ( Fathouse Fab, Palm Beach dyno).

What we know so far from the test info that PBD has shown us from his youtube video is that the setup looks to be promising in supporting big power! Palm Beaches car ran a 7 second pass with a failing or low voltage issues on the 7 second pass and the pump and controller setup maintained fuel pressure! this is very impressive , so how much flow does this setup actually put out ? well from Paul him self this controller and pump setup is around 1150LPH! From our guess the controller is pushing the voltage up to the pump but Paul would not state exact numbers which is totally understandable!

So to say the least Brushless technology and fuel supporting needs seem to be heading in a great direction with Injector Dynamics pushing the needs for all racers wanting single reliable pump setup’s.. Click the picture for a link to Palm Beach Dyno test results so far!
